Day 01: Arriving in Colombo or Negombo. Welcome to Negombo for the night.

When you get to Bandaranaike International Airport, your private guide will greet you and take you to Negombo. Start by learning about the area’s history and holy places, then take a walk around the beautiful lagoon in the evening. Spend the night at Negombo, where you may relax and take in the beach scene.

Day 02: Negombo to Anuradhapura / Stay the night in Anuradhapura.

Drive north to Anuradhapura, which was formerly one of Sri Lanka’s capitals. You should go to the holy fig tree, Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, and the beautiful stupas of Ruwanwelisaya and Jetavanaramaya. Visit historic monasteries and archaeological sites nearby, and then have a cultural conversation or meditation session in the evening to think about what you learned that day.

Day 03: Mihintale and Polonnaruwa / Stay the night in Polonnaruwa

Start your day in Mihintale, which is renowned as the birthplace of Sri Lankan Buddhism. From the hilltop monastery complex, you can see for miles around. Go on to Polonnaruwa to see the Gal Vihara rock shrine, the Royal Palace, and Shiva Devale. Before spending the night in Polonnaruwa, learn about the city’s past and spiritual importance.

Day 04: Dambulla and Sigiriya; sleep near Sigiriya

The Dambulla Cave Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its detailed paintings and old Buddha sculptures. Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress to see its frescoes, water gardens, and vistas from the top that go on forever. Take part in a reflection or cultural storytelling event in the evening to learn more about the area’s rich history.

Day 05: From Sigiriya to Kandy; stay the night in Kandy.

Visit Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. Go to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), a holy place for Buddhists. Take a walk around Kandy Lake and take part in optional activities like a cultural performance or an evening puja. Spend the night in Kandy and have the opportunity to explore the peaceful areas around the city.

Day 06: Leaving through Colombo

Take the morning off in Kandy before going to Bandaranaike International Airport. You might stop at Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara on the way to Colombo to end your spiritual tour. Leave with memories that will remain of Sri Lanka’s holy places, historic riches, and rich cultural history.
